Flowers from Ecuador to Russia
Russia is our most active route. Not the easiest — the one we know best. Ecuador → Russia logistics goes through intermediate hubs, faces an additional import duty and has payment specifics that change every quarter. We list what we know below, not what we'd like to.
How the cargo moves
Current shipments go through intermediate hubs — Dubai with Emirates SkyCargo or Doha with Qatar Airways are the operational options today. Direct Ecuador → Moscow is not stably available right now. We confirm carrier per shipment based on window and volume.
Documentation and compliance
Agrocalidad phytosanitary certificate for entry through Rosselkhoznadzor. Direct shipment is the standard route; transit through EAEU member states is under added scrutiny since 2024 — we always declare true origin instead of repackaging.
Duty and payment
An additional duty on flowers from "unfriendly countries" (Ecuador included) has been in force since July 2024. We discuss it with each client when quoting — we don't pretend it doesn't exist. For payment, USD remains the industry reference; we work with clients who prefer ruble or AED via Dubai depending on their banking reality.
Airlines we use
Emirates SkyCargo (UIO-DXB) and Qatar Airways (UIO-DOH) are the options with onward connectivity to Moscow today. AirBridgeCargo is not an option — its fleet has been out of international operation since 2022.
